Background Image

The current background image for my blog is a picture of a pond on Gilbert Island, 20km south of Fredericton, New Brunswick.  I took this photo on June 14, 2007, while I was working for the Fish and Wildlife Branch of the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources, Species at Risk program; we were touring the island with some researchers from the southern U.S, looking for pure genetic samples of Butternut (Juglans cinerea) that were not affected by the butternut canker fungus.  The camera used to take the photo was a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2 digital camera.
